Some herbal ingredients stimulate the body's neural system, and since human sexual response and feelings are dependent on the neural system, those herbs can be quite effective in increasing sexual response. Coffee stimulates the body's central nervous system, which can make it useful in increasing sexual arousal. Therefore, drinking a lowly cup of coffee can actually be a useful precursor to sexual activity.

The benefits of ginseng have been known and appreciated for centuries in the Far East, but it has been gaining popularity in the West in recent decades, as well. Ginseng stimulates the body’s neural functions both stimulates and normalizes the blood flow to the brain and sexual organs. It also has a positive effect on nerve growth, blood production, and sperm production.
